Catherine Bélanger Sabourin

Catherine Bélanger Sabourin is a professor in the School of Social Work at UQAM. Her field experiences in outreach and partnership mediation have led her to develop an interest in the complexity of interventions, the theory-practice link and social work training (initial and ongoing). Currently, she teaches field placement courses, a master’s seminar on pedagogical and professional supervision, and offers training to field placement supervisors. She also provides training in social pediatrics in community settings and at the Transcultural Clinic for the North Island IUHSSC. Her research focuses on the co-production of knowledge based on group analysis of complex situations using a collaborative methodology.
