Dr. Rusty Souleymanov is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social Work and Director of the Village Lab (www.villagelab.ca) at the University of Manitoba. His interdisciplinary program of study focuses on the impacts of oppression and injustice on the health and wellbeing of socially and economically marginalized communities, particularly those who are living with HIV, sexual and gender minority men and Two-Spirit people, people who use drugs, Indigenous people, Black, African, and Caribbean communities, as well as immigrants and refugees.
