Maria Nengeh Mensah is a specialist in the dynamics of social exclusion related to the health and sexuality of women and sexual and gender minorities. Her work focuses on collective action against stigmatization and the creation of counter-discourses for the social recognition of all. Since 2020, she has led an action-research group, Cultures du témoignage | Testimonial Cultures, which brings together associative, academic, artistic, and activist communities. Maria Nengeh is also an administrator of CACTUS-Montreal, a community organization that houses a safe injection site.
