Jean-Sébastien Rousseau (he/him)

Peer researcher; Chemsex project caseworker, Clinique L’Actuel; speaker and community mobiliser

Jean-Sébastien Rousseau holds a DESS in management from HEC Montréal and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Ottawa. He first worked as a strategist in the field of communications and cultural public relations. After experiencing addiction firsthand, he began a major personal shift towards a lifestyle closer to his core values – values that he is now trying to bring to the LGBTQIA2+ communities of which he is also a proud member. Co-founder of the ÇA PREND UN VILLAGE project, he regularly gives conferences on recovery from crystal meth and chemsex, advocates for specialized care and services, and accompanies people in their search for solutions to addiction.  He believes that caring is the way forward – and the best place to start is with oneself.
