Adam Bourne (he/him)
Associate Professor, Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society (ARCSHS) at La Trobe University, Australia.

A health psychologist by training, Adam leads the LGBTIQ+ health and wellbeing research program at ARCSHS, which includes large-scale population surveys, focussed studies on mental health and suicide prevention, qualitative studies exploring family, domestic and sexual violence, and mixed methods studies of alcohol and other drug use among LGBTIQ communities. He is an internationally recognised expert in sexualised drug use (‘chemsex’) research among LGBTIQ communities as well as in HIV social and behavioural science. Adam has published more than 100 peer reviewed journal articles, book chapters and community reports and have delivered more than 140 conference presentations, seminar symposium talks, including invited keynote addresses to major LGBTIQ and HIV conferences in numerous countries.
